ResourceManager Component, Updated Blade3D Released and Nuclex XNA GameControl

Ziggy has made some interesting posts on his blog.

The first one is about a resource management component in XNA.

wizzie has sent in a component for resource management in XNA. This is a very useful component since it allows for managing all of your resources in one object that is available anywhere in your engine via XNA Game Services. No more worries about unloading and reloading your resources with this component, wizzie handles it all. The code was written with the 360 in mind so there are work arounds in place for the .NET Compact Framework.

The second one is about an update of Blade3D.

The guys over at Digini have released a new update to the XNA game creation kit: Blade3D

Blade3D Build 1817 Released – Friday, May 11, 2007

New Audio system supporting many audio file formats. New Sound, Animation and Graph trigger volumes. New Terrain Height and RayCast operators. Support for Idle Animations. Improvements to Material System and lots more.

The third one is about the Nuclex XNA GameControl.

Nuclex has created a Windows.Forms control that allows you to use XNA within your winforms with ease. With the XNA GameControl you can easily create Winform based XNA applications like world editors and content viewers. Simply derive a new user control from the Nuclex.GameControl and you are in business.
